Known problem sucks to be the customer

Nice fridge but the customer service from LG is horrible. Fridge is not freezing or cooling and this is such a problem that there is a class action lawsuit because of this issue. LGs solution is to wait for an authorized technician to come out and diagnose so we called Best Buy and it would be weeks before they could get out to diagnose the problem. So I called sears and they came fairly quick within a couple of days and diagnosed with a bad compressor which is the reason for the class action lawsuit. LGs solution is to wait 3 to 5 more business days to have another technician to come out and say the same thing. Stay away from LG

Update on my ice tasting like plastic. Tech came out again and did absolutely nothing for the 3rd time. The tech said that he replaced the ice makers which now I know was a lie. The tech never removed anything in the lower freeze to replace that ice maker. I know because I purchased both ice makers on Amazon and I had to remove the food to get to the ice maker after replacing both ice makers I no longer have bad tasting ice. Thanks for nothing LG

This LG fridge is exactly what our family needs. We love the drawer space and it is perfect for snacks and easy to grab things for our kids. The dual ice makers ensure we always have plenty of ice and functions well. The bottom freezer is very spacious and provides more than enough room for plenty of vegetables and quick dinners. Only thing I wish was different is the selector for the water/ice in the door. Our previous one we had you would select ice water crushed ice by pushing the icon for what you want this one you have to cycle through. Not a game breaker but still something we are getting used to. Would definitely recommend this refrigerafor and very happy with our purchase.

I ordered this refrigerator back in September and from day one the ice tasted like plastic. After numerous phone calls and numerous visits by a technician Im still with ice that taste like plastic. To add insult to injury LG told me there is nothing they can do about it so Im stuck with a $3k refrigerator and buying ice for my family to use. I will never buy LG again. They dont stand behind their product.

This is a well made refrigerator with some nice features and some room for improvement. It took me a while to adjust to having door handles under the bottom of the door -it seems inconvenient when you are holding groceries in your hand and want to open the door at the same time. However ive gotten used to them and there are handles on the top of the doors too which I find make it easier for me open the doors. I am not a fan of the see thru door because it doesnt really offer value - but the fact that the front panel opens up without having to open the door is nice. The lighting is great and the vegetable bins are huge - almost too big because there is less room for items on the shelves and the shelves really cant be rearranged because doing so would make one shelf extremely minimal in height. Compared to our last refrigerator the quality of the plastic drawer inserts in the deli drawer and freezer are lower quality. Theyre not awful but they are smaller and lighter and do not look as sturdy. The best features are the ice makers - both produce a lot of ice and work well. But most refrigerators have problems with in-door ice makers because they are not insulated enough to stay cold - so overtime I am expecting it to fail but appreciate the freezer ice maker. Love the fingerprint free exterior - although fingerprints are a bit noticeable on the black glass but that is expected. Overall it works well and has nice features including wifi to monitor the temp.

The new LG refrigerator is a new step in to an amazing home upgrade. This one excited me with the sleek design and modern look with a technical upgrade that can fit any home style need in this category. It allowed me to use a Special app that lets you customize the fridge from your phone with inventory lists ice making notifications power usage monitor customization of temp in each section of the fridge not one but two ice makers and a function to change the color of your fridge for all the late night snack bandits to enjoy a fresh beverage or snack. There is lots of room to organize all your food types like vegetables meats and cheeses. My favorite part of the fridge is the tempered class door as a man its great to see how much of my favorite beverage is left before I need to restock it for another go. It was easy to set up and install and fit snug into a normal size fridge location. Recommend measuring everything before buying just to be safe. All in all its a 10 out of 10 for me and fits my family and the wants and needs like the perfect new paint job on a car

LG Smart view French Door Refrigerator

We recently upgraded to the LG Refrigerator from a side-by-side model. Our first impressions are extremely positive. At first we were nervous that it might be too large for the space we have but it fits perfectly. Lets start with the Flex Drawer. For our first try at this we decided to use it to store beverages cans bottles. water etc. and it is incredibly convenient. The preset temperatures are a breeze to use and easy to figure out even on first use. The ThinQ app is an interesting touch. It occasionally will send messages about how frequently weve opened the door or that we havent used the ice and even suggests when to refresh the ice in the bottom freezer. That extra ice is a nice bonus also. One of my pet peeves about our previous refrigerator was how much noise it made. I am very happy to report In the time that weve used the LG the difference is very noticeable. The LG operates 100 more quietly. that is a big positive . Oh and it looks good as well. Overall this refrigerator has been an impressive purchase.

Refrigerator this refrigerator is the best its thinQ application makes it better since you can configure several modes either by changing colors or configuring the refrigerator I also like instaview door in door because just by giving a few small touches to the glass door it lights up and You can see inside without having to open the door its LED lighting makes the colors more vibrant and improved as well as saving energy another thing that I really liked is that when the doors are closed they are silent but very airtight which will help me a lot now They seal perfectly well and no cold air escapes anywhere. It also has a drawer that you can program either just to cool drinks or to freeze as you prefer and its water and ice dispenser is the best. It works very well I I love this refrigerator it is the best I recommend it.

Solid Refrigerator

This is a solid refrigerator with a few interesting features including a customizable drawer that you can use for extra freezer space refrigerator space or for wine. We opted to use it for wine storage. The door with window comes in handy when you want to see inside without opening. Just turn on the light by knocking. The customizable color for the door light is an interesting feature but unnecessary for me. Theres a ton of space in both the refrigerator and freezer. We ended up taking a shelf out because it wasnt needed and would give us extra space for taller items. I love the option of having ice to scoop from the tray in the freezer or just getting it from the door. I wish there was an option to make whiskey ball ice in the freezer but this would probably make this refrigerator even more expensive. The app isnt as useful as I was hoping. It seems to only be useful for statistics and to set a color and timer for the door light. Hopefully more features will come in future updates. Overall this is a solid fridge and weve have no problems so far and no big complaints. The price is reasonable for the features it offers and a major upgrade from our previous refrigerator. Would definitely recommend looking at this as an option for your next refrigerator.

So far I am really happy with this new refrigerator. It is customizable with the door color and interchangeable drawer which is handy One small complaint I have is that the width of the door shelves is so thin not a lot fits. And I wish the shelves were slightly taller more space in between because regular things like a gallon of milk wont fit standing upright. The depth of the shelves are great though. The water dispenser is easy to use and works well and i like the extra ice in the freezer as well. The two drawers in the freezer is a nice feature for keeping things more organized. Overall I would recommend this fridge. The app is also really handy for switching settings in the appliance too

Whats not to like about this LG four door fridge? Where do I begin? This fridge is spacious and well thought out. I particularly like the ability of o move the shelves and customize the middle drawer to cool or freezer. This is our first bottom freezer and I have quickly grown to love it the usability is great. I think my favorite thing is ice in the freezer and door. Or maybe my favorite feature is the soft close doors. The friendly beep to remind you if a door is open is extremely helpful. A great fridge with many wonderful options

First time I truly feel in control of my food.

With my previous refrigerators organizing space for different food groups was a challenge and new items or leftovers would end up shoved wherever they fit. This made it difficult to track what needed to be eaten first and what supplies I already had often leading to spoiled food and an excess of condiments. Now everything has a designated spot and even large items like full pots of stew fit easily. I also love the middle drawer which Ive designated as my sandwich station and the bottom freezer with a second shelf for easy access without having to dig around for frozen items. Plus I use the Door-in-Door daily to quickly check if I have enough lettuce for my bunny. My favorite feature is the soft-close hinges which prevent the doors from slamming shut no more jostled condiments The only feature I found unnecessary is the MoodUP color-changing light its a bit extra for me but I still show it off to my friends and family

This lg refrigerator is a must have for kids that like to keep the door open while searching for something thats not even in the fridge. Lol we have enjoyed having the different color lights and being able to use the app to change setting is a nice thing considering the old styles setting was hidden or in the way. Soft close doors means you dont have to worry about something getting knocked over when kids dont replace things where they go. The convertible drawer is a nice addition as well this way we can use it for frozen pizzas when needed or extra drinks for partys. Overall we like this style of refrigerator and am glad we purchased it.

Nice large refrigerator

I am Enjoying this new refrigerator. Its very large inside and we can fit so many large containers of milk for the whole family which equals less trips to the store. Everything stays nice and cold. We can monitor the temperature and settings with the thin iq app. The doors hold less on the left side than my old fridge but the right side door and just massive interior make up for this. The doors also quietly close on their own which is a super nice feature. I sometimes worry the front display door with the inside fragile clip for the seal may break easily since this one requires self push to close and you need to be careful for this reason. The drawers are very light weight. Theres extra ice in the freezer for on the go. The ice maker works very well and makes a lot of ice. My children like to roll Open the freezer to grab ice pops out and icecream. There are much less finger prints than my old refrigerator. My daughter loves the purple door color. You can select the color and for how long up to 8 hours a day I believe on how long each color displays. Its a nice kitchen night light and will get use during day light savings time when darkness sets in. We are loving this lg fridge. Best feature is the space

This fridge is sleek modern and looks great in our kitchen. Its packed full of fun features such as an all inclusive smart app a quick access door and 2 ice cube makers While we do enjoy our fridge and appreciate the features I feel this could be a bit better for the price. The inside is a little cheap feeling especially the middle drawer. Smart App: The app allows you to control the basics from a click of a button. While its nice to be able to adjust the temperature of the fridge from your couch Im not sure how useful it really is. The analytics are fun and interesting such as power consumption water filter life expectancy and notifications when the door is left open. Its a neat feature but I wished it contained something like a camera so I can see what I have in my fridge at any given time. The only true feature of the app is being notified when the door was left open. I also dont have kids so thats a rarity but itll chime before I get too far anyways. Ice / water: I love the ice machines on this The ice is the perfect shape and having 2 makes a real difference. The water comes out a little slow but otherwise is great. Switching from water to ice sometimes takes several presses and not the most intuitive. The app does not notify you how long the ice has been sitting and suggests you to dump after 7 days. Seems a little short but interesting feature. Overall space management: Having a French door is night and day different from a 2 door that we upgraded from. We had a French door at our previous place which was similar to this one. We love how deep it goes but it does stick out a decent bit from the cabinets. Not sure the back of the fridge is super usable anyways but nice to have the space. I was super excited for the window quick access door but in reality its not as useful The shelves are the only convenient place to put condiments which takes up most of the real-estate on the right hand door. The left hand door has narrow shelves which is good for smaller items like butter and nutritional bars. Items that are great grab and go items or heavily used. I wish I could make better use out of the quick access door but organizationally it doesnt make practical sense to keep certain item there. Overall I would recommend this fridge. Its a great smart fridge packed with features.

We love our new LG refrigerator. The refrigerator has plenty of space the shelves are easy to organize and the drawer is a great addition for our young family. We love the fact that the refrigerator has two ice makers one in the door and an additional bin in the freezer. We havent run out of ice since we got it. We really like the ability to change the color in the insta view keeping it green in the morning. The app is easy to connect and provides a lot of functionality such as brightness of the lights at night. Overall would definitely recommend this refrigerator

We received our refrigerator about 2 weeks ago and absolutely love this produce. We looked at all the models on the floor at Best Buy. We wanted a door-in-door model and this model was perfect. It has about 1 CF less space but actually seems to have more room inside. The frig fit perfectly in our space. We love the 4 doors and especially the drawer that we can set to either frig or freezer. It comes with one divider but we were able to order 2 more. Also we love the two ice makers. The in door ice maker is perfect while the in freezer ice maker allows us to have enough ice for weekend or holiday events with friends or family. We wanted the frig in white but this model only comes in stainless. However the frig does look great in our kitchen and fits well with our other white applicancees. The option to change light color in the see through door is great. It is crazy but the app will send a message if the doors are left open and we can set the alarm tone. The water and air filters are easy to access which was not the case in our previous frig. This frig is very quiet and the control panel which is inside on right side is easy to access and operate. The frig drawers for fruit or vegetables are large and access is convenient. Excellent product

I was really excited to get this refrigerator but I am underwhelmed. Its not bad - its got some great capabilities but there is a lot that could be improved. Pros include: - great size - shelves do not have goofy splits or sliding parts - they better enable fitting wide items - ice maker in freezer where it belongs - app to track and manage key capabilities - the french doors close by themselves slowly - which is a nice feature but only if they are in motion to be closed Cons include: - quality of drawers interior is lacking. Cheap plastic - drawers dont roll well - the vegetable and fruit drawers are enormous and take up too much room so that there is no way to have any item on a shelf that is taller than 7 inches. - The only place tall items can go is on the right door - on the bottom shelf - which is not a lot of room since most people will have a gallon of milk on the bottom shelf. This is a huge issue in my mind because it means lots of things must go on their side on a shelf in the center - the see thru door is ok but i dont see the value - the bigger value is that you can open up the front seethru panel without opening the door and easily access items on the door. - There are two icemakers thankfully because having one in the door means two things - First the shelves on the left door are virtually useless. here they are also poor quality and super tiny. Second the icemaker will stop working becuase its too difficult to manage the cold temperatures required inside a refrigerator - but vendors just do what consumers demand - The shelves have very minimal adjustment capabilities -- there is one empty slot where a shelf could be raised or lowered. Its really not helpful because lowering top shelf lowered for lager items means the middle shelf will be aobut 3-4 of space. Past referigerators always hadhad mutliple shelf heights with slots that were 1/2-1 inch apart. This fridge has plastic shelf guards built in that shelves rest on. The veg and fruit bins are so high that they eat into shelf space that would be useful - and the quality of the bins is really subpar The reason I gave it a Yes to recommend is that it has large capacity and has nice options like the app and its ability to adjust temp etc the see thru door if you like it. Compared with other refrigerators this has used cheap thin plastic where there used to be metal and I dont see it lasting. Hope I am wrong. Its very average and typical for todays market.

The LG Smart Instaview fridge is a real upgrade from my previous not so smart fridge. The ThinQ app was very easy to setup and it connected to my fridge almost instantly. It is very easy to adjust the fridge and drawer temperatures to your liking in a matter of seconds. The section where you can see the energy usage is very helpful too. The instaview door in door is my favorite part. I love having the extra space for grab and go drinks and the color selection and timer setting are a bonus The soft closing doors caught me off guard at first. Its so smooth and quiet. Having a house full of kids this feature is really helpful in ensuring the doors always get closed. The water dispenser is really nice and the water flows quite quickly. I do wish that each selection was a button instead of it just being in the middle. I find my self pressing on each one everytime and realizing only the middle one works to select. I love how spacious and customizable everything is it is the centerpiece in our kitchen. I look forward to adding more LG Smart appliances to our home in the future.

Spacious with convenient features

I had the delivery guys leave all the peeling of the tape to me : there was quite a few tapes all over just goes to show how well LG takes in ensuring the product gets to the customers in pristine condition. Ive had the fridge for a week now and I love it so much There was some concern with a audible humming noise when I first plugged it in. I found out it was the Ice Cube Plus feature that doubles the ice cubes being made. It was quiet with regular fridge noises after the Ice Cube Plus finished its course. LOVE the Full-Convert Drawer. We sometimes have an overabundance of frozen foods so that will come in handy. Its currently housing deli meats and cheeses so the temp is at 30F but can be changed to 33F for chilling wine as well So handy I dont love the water dispenser because you have to click the center button to go from water to crushed ice to ice cubes THEN back to water. A slight inconvenience. The ice cubes are smaller than normal ice cubes so thats pretty neat. Also I turned off the larger ice cubes that drop into the freezer basket since I am using that space and dont need more ice cubes than what is in the dispenser. I havent used the MyColor LED Lighting because its not necessary for me. Its a cute little extra but just not for me. I do like the knock knock feature and the Door-in-Door because its helpful to be able to just grab my condiments without opening the whole door. Overall I am very happy to have chosen this refrigerator. Its spacious and have very convenient features. I would definitely recommend

A few days ago my LG Smart InstaView Door-in-Door Standard-Depth MAX 4-Door French Door 29 cu arrived. Refrigerator with MyColor LF29S8365S. and I really liked it since it is very spacious. I love the material. Modern stainless steel of good durable quality. You can also configure this refrigerator to have different colors on its main door with the LG Thin IQ application. I really like the InstaView door-in-door system because it allows me to see whats inside my refrigerator if I need to open the door. and the cold air escapes I only have to touch the glass door and it will let me see what is inside since it is perfect with the lighting it has. I like each of its compartments they are very spacious and the middle drawer can be converted into cold or frozen it comes with its own ice and water dispenser it is silent which is the best this is perfect and its soft-closing doors are perfect. Because this way they are not mistreated they do not make noise and they seal perfectly so that cold air does not escape and the food remains in perfect condition. I like it more than other refrigerators I have used. It is very easy to set up this refrigerator from the app. I recommend this refrigerator it is very elegant and functional

The refrigerator is simply beautiful. The thin IQ app allows you to name your fridge and control the temperature and ice making. It also allows you to pick time slots of what color your want your instadoor to view as. You can leave it without a color or choose a color and always have the option to knock twice for white light to View the easier access items inside . This feature allows you to use less energy with doors open before you decide on what to get out. This front door has a clip just in front of the pocket handle at the bottom of it for the easy access entry. The sleek design has pocket handles . I will say since the ice maker is on the left door doors are a bit heavier and a handle would likely better serve as an opener for this reason. The ice maker and water dispenser on the left side is at a good height to walk up and get a drink. It also makes more ice faster than my old Samsung. The huge drawer of ice in the freezer would Come in handy for a party and would Be great to throw in a cooler for a day on the go You can also turn this feature off on the fridge or on the app. The inside of the fridge is DEEP You can fit TONS in it. Its so spacious. The crisper drawers hold so much fresh food It stays nice and cool and the app also allows you to track if temp selected is maintained. It will also alert you when new filters needed. You can Choose energy saving mode for lighting to Be less in your fridge whatever time You want that to be at on the app. The fridge is QuIEt The Samsung I had was loud. This fridge you cant hear the ice making or that its even running. My toddlers like the knock feature to see inside as well. I have yet to find a fingerprint from them which was a huge reason I wanted this. The app even alerted me the door was open for a long time while at work. The drawer in the middle can be used for freezing or for cooling and the fact that the control is inside the fridge also is better than my last fridge since the children kept Hitting the controls every time they opened the last one since controls were on the drawer itself. Drinks are best placed in the instadoor unless you want to lie them Down in the drawer due to the flooring of it is zigzagged. The freezer has adequate space as well. It keeps Cold And you can Adjust temp with app. LG color is sleek holds a lot saves energy and easily controlled.

Beauty and a beast to store all the things

I am smitten with my new LG Refrigerator. This beauty is so gorgeous to have in the kitchen. Factor in the efficiency and storage capacity and it is a win all around. I have not used the ThinQ App yet as I have only had it a week but I am looking forward to checking it out. The InstaView Door in Door is my favorite thing thus far. I love the ability to double tap and have the light come on. Also only opening the one smaller door must save a considerable amount of energy I have not yet used the MyColor LED Lighting but I am sure that will be fun The soft closing doors are fabulous for a house with kids. This feature is one of the nicest I have seen among new fridges I have been researching. I love the Full Convert drawer and having the ability to use it as a deli space or crank it down to a freezer as well. The bottom freezer is spacious and the drawer gives more flexibility for storage. I am impressed with the ice maker in two locations. I love having the water and ice in the door. That was a must for me. We use both so often at our house and I have found the unit is keeping up with making ice very well. I am happy overall and looking forward to a long relationship with my new addition

I bought our new refrigerator in June and found that the door would not stay shut. We called Lowes who sent a person out only to say there was a problem and we needed to contact LG. It is now the end of September and we have had multiple conversations with the people at LG and a 3 visits from techs but the problem persists. Because it has essentially been broken since purchase we have not had the opportunity to enjoy any of its features. We wish we had kept our old leaky fridge.

I recently got my refrigerator and I love the appearance. Its different and also seems quite spacious. I was able to download the ThinQ app and set up my refrigerator with it. Im able to change the color of the door in door through the app and there are some other features that makes the fridge interesting. You can set up the time for when the different color lights come on and off through the app. You can convert the middle draw to either being just cold or to a freezer through the app or on the inside of the fridge. You can knock on the door in door so the light will shine if you want to see whats sitting on the shelves in the front without opening the fridge. I like the soft closing doors since it doesnt make much noise when you shut it. The water dispenser works great Its works fast compared to my last refrigerator. There are three ways to get ice. There are cubed ice and crushed ice that comes from the water dispenser and one in the freezer section where it drops down into an area that carries ice for gatherings or just for yourself. I will admit that on area where you can open the door in door it can get dirty fast so its best to make sure you clean that door often if you use it the most.

Great features that are both functional and cool

This refrigerator was a tremendous upgrade from my previous fridge in both functionality and appearance. Its got a great deal of space accompanied by adjustable shelves to help fit larger items. The door in door feature that allows you to open the smaller glass door to grab items is great. That and the slam resistant doors makes opening and closing the fridge quiet and accident free. The best part may be the middle or utility drawer which you can easily change from refrigerator to freezer and creates extra space for whatever you need. On top of all that it has some really cool specs that brighten up your kitchen. You can update the color light of the fridge which is pretty neat. As well as adjust the brightness in the evening which is great. All of this can be managed very seamlessly through the LG app on your phone I would highly recommend this product to others. Great upgrade to your current kitchen appliances

We love our new refrigerator The space inside is a dreamso easy to fit everything even our weird sized groceries. My favorite feature is the cheese drawer. I think it was made just for me it keeps my cheeses perfectly fresh and easy to grab. The rest of my family wants to convert it to an ice cream drawer which I could change the settings to but I wont...because cheese. The customizable door color is a big hit here the kids are excited that we got a purple refrigerator and use that and the knock/Instaview feature to impress their friends. my first experience with a smart fridge

first its very spacious - for the fridge compartment it comes with 3 rows of deep shelving plus drawers on each side behind the two doors for fresh produce. theres also an air filter and a wifi button in this compartment which connects to an app where you can see the metrics for the fridge on the app you can see how the air and water filters are managed. the directions say to change the water filter every 6 months but i can see in real-time the percentage of how much the filters have been used so i can know exactly when to change them out one of my favorite features for sure. the app also tracks energy usage how frequently the doors open and the amount the doors have been opened for. and of course you can also change the colors. id say it serves as a cool party trick as the lights highlight the stacked drinks behind the doors which looks pretty neat. as for the freezer i was impressed by how much room there was in the pull-out drawer. i was always jamming things in my old freezer but now i can store all my frozen goods and still have leftover space and theres a second smaller drawer that pulls out where i can hide all my snacks : and in between the fridge and the freezer theres a middle drawer which you can change the settings for your convenience. right now i have it set to meat/seafood but im planning on using it to chill my wines next i love that this can double as my wine fridge overall not only is this fridge very functional and customizable to your standards but its also very mindful in keeping things fresh with the filters and energy-saving that you can track with the app. you can also set routines in the app if youre going on a long trip or a day trip so you can be more energy efficient. my first experience with a smart very functional fridge and i must say its pretty impressive

Love this Refrigerator Its a Game Changer

I recently upgraded to the LG MyColor Refrigerator from an old side-by-side model and I have to say its been a game changer. I cant believe how much more we can fit in there and without having to play Tetris The freezer drawer is an absolute dream making it so much easier to organize and access frozen items. No more struggling to find what I needeverything is right there at my fingertips. One of my favorite features is the Flex Drawer. Currently Im using it for frozen breads and its incredibly convenient. The flexibility to adjust the temperature depending on what I need is a big plus - we will be filling it with pies for thanksgiving and fresh meat for grilling in spring The extra ice in the freezer is another great touch the kids like the door ice for water bottles but my husband and I like taking it from the bin for our drinks. Plus the filtered water from the door actually works Weve stopped using bottled water almost entirely and now enjoy the convenience of getting fresh clean water straight from the fridge - our old fridges water was awful no matter how often I changed the filter The MyColor Lighting is fantasticit acts like a night light in evening and provides a fun way to start the morning. We cant wait to host a Halloween or Christmas party and pair it with some under-cabinet LEDs for an extra festive touch The Door-in-Door feature is a surprise hit in our household. Weve started keeping milk and condiments in the door and Im amazed at how often we use italmost one-third of the time just in the first couple of weeks The ThinQ app even shows how often and which doors are opened and its fascinating to see how much we rely on this convenient feature. One more thing: Weve tried everything to keep fruits fresh: different stores washing with vinegar nothing worked to keep fruits fresh for longer than 2 days.Now and in just two weeks of use Im already noticing a huge difference in how fresh my fruits staylike magic It is clear that LG keeps food fresher for longer. Im more than satisfied with how well this fridge meets my needs. Love the new upgrades made more space due to the redesign- in door filter in unit controls allow for sleek exterior look increase lighting I love the increase size of the refrigerator from my previous LG model. Love the water and ice cube dispenser better design then my older model. Love that the drip pan under the water and ice dispenser does not have a tray that will build up mold and mildew like my older model did. I really like the multifunctional refrigerator/freezer drawer adds to the overall capacity and functionality. Extra ice cube tray is a plus as well I entertain a lot and this will come in handy. While there is only a few options to change the shelf layout due to the increase cubic feet of the unit there is more than adequate amount of space. The LG ThinQ app is awesome
