I bought this model refrigerator about 2 years ago and it has been a constant disappointment! I'm writing this review so others don't make the $2,000 mistake I made. Yes, I agree with others that it is loud BUT my main issues are the shelves. Our shelves continue to crack. Right now, we have 4 shelves with cracks and we're not storing anything unordinary. The shelves also do no reach to the back wall of the fridge so things continually slide back or through the opening. The bottom drawer has a divider that does not stay in place. It comes out and moves to the side. Now for the freezer. The ice machine does not work properly. At times it'll just keep making ice and other times it won't make any ice and the most aggravating issue is that the ice falls to the freezer floor so when you open the freezer door, ice spills all over the floor. I bought this refrigerator because I used to heat good things about Maytag and because it was made in America. I would not recommend this model refrigerator to anyone.

Door alarm has warned us a few times. The left door is harder to close than the right one so it stays ajar a bit. Door Alarm is a good feature! Aside from the many noises from a modern fridge, like the ice maker dumping ice, water flow, and compressor, It appears the air damper makes too much noise. We have arranged a service call within the next few days. Hopefully the service guy will agree and fix it.

Bought the whole set of Maytag appliances Like the look of the counter depth fridge but the interior is disappointing so much wasted space for under the shelves on the door and in the back of the interior shelves that don't reach to the back of the unit. small items can fall though. Had to add a lazy Susanne inside to hold the small stuff. Also the bins inside the freezer are open and things fall though that as well. poor design all around. I don't know who looks at this before it goes into production??

I really appreciate the no fingerprint feature. I also like the water dispenser inside the refrigerator instead of outside. Not as much room in freezer so I need to be careful, but overall my refrigerator looks great.

I upgraded to this fridge with the hopes to get quality product for the amount of money I invested however I have been having temperature problems due to part failures (x2 already) and looks to happen every 3mts. It makes loud noisy during it's cooling cycle. Plastic material to cover the shelf is not put well together, makes a sound when you close and open. Going American made felt proud however it isn't worth the $2000 price tag.

We have used our refrigerator for one month. We are happy with the cold water dispenser that doesn't take up needed door space, and the ice maker. Side by side doors are great with the freezer on the bottom. The interior is well designed.

This was the third refrigerator which I purchased. The first to were whirlpool and then swapped for Maytag. I was relying on the quality I had always heard about Maytag. I learned whirlpool and Maytag are made by the same company. All are loud and made banging noises. Sounds as though someone is breaking in my home in the middle of the night. Tired of ordering and swapping refrigerators and kept Maytag. Don't expect it to last long term. Extremely disappointed. Runs loudly and for long periods of time. Only good thing I can say is it is the size I wanted. Will not buy another whirlpool or Maytag product.

After 3 years one of the door seals split at the non-hinge vertical side down the entire length and the magnet strip fell out. Now I have to replace the seals. I am willing to assume that particular seal was simply faulty, because Maytag usually has such a good reputation.

I bought this 2 weeks ago to replace a 22 year old Kitchen-aid Refrigerator which never worked correctly. I was shocked the inside of the Maytag was exactly the same as the old Refrigerator (there was no display model when I bought this; but it was the only one that fit in the cut-out space). It is small in the freezer and Refrigerator. But of 2 + weeks seems to be working well, and does fit nicely into a 36" wide 24" deep space, so this is truly counter-depth. So if you have a small space like me; this will fit! I did not like the price; these never go on sale, was watching the price for over a year.

I have been living with a side by side for 20 years. Decided it was time for a new fridge. Not having as much room in my kitchen as I would have liked, I very much wanted to go with the counter depth. Looked at so many and have been thrilled at the choice to go with this Maytag. Plenty of room in the fridge, love the water in the inside! Wish the freezer was a bit bigger, but it is big enough for two of us. This is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 on the design and capacity. When they say no fingerprints- they mean NO FINGERPRINTS!! Runs incredibly quiet and keeps food really cold. Told my husband if we ever move, its coming with us!

I decided to go with Maytag appliances as they seemed to be better made than other similar priced brands. It's noisy, doesn't keep everything at an even temperature and the shelving doesn't have lips so your items either slip off over are crammed in the back kit allowing air space. Look wise it was better than most of the other counter depth similar priced refrigerators and I like that it is smudge proof. The stainless steel is very thin and is warped in a few places but you can't see them with the naked eye.

It was delivered a month ago and all is great with the exception of the crisper drawers/shelf. When opening the two drawers the shelf becomes dislodged. I notice the cheap plastic molding in the liner that holds the shelf in place has started to dent and no longer holds the shelf firmly so any time you open the drawers the shelf dislodges. Frustrating for less than a months use..

We purchased the applicance in November but was on back order until December 5, at that time we received the unit. It fit our counters perfectly and allows the doors to open to their full length. The unit is extremely quiet and comes with a 10 year warranty for the compressor, and is manufactured in USA.

I bought this fridge as part of the Maytag suite for a kitchen remodel.
Overall I like the fridge, but there are some issues. The doors don't have any dampening on them when they are opened. So they tend to bounce against the hinges which concerns me. Also the left door if opened by itself doesn't want to fully close, so you have to pay attention of the door will stay slightly ajar.
The big deli shelf is a great idea, but you have to open both doors wide and pull out the shelf to access it. This is a bit odd, since you should be able to access half the deli drawer from either of the doors (without fully opening both of them). Likewise the veg/fruit drawers work best if the both doors are open.
Granted this is a counter-depth fridge, and I expect it to be a bit small compared to a conventional fridge, but I was a bit surprised by how much less capacity it actually has. Tall wine bottles are challenging as are any tall products. Luckily you can adjust the shelves easily.
Love the ice maker and the internal water dispenser. But I think the water dispenser would make more sense on the right side rather than the left where it is a bit difficult to use for right-handed people.

Replace 5 year old LG that was not repairable. New Maytag offer the perfect size for counters and availabile space. Wanted to do away with water and ice on outside to have less mess and a cleaner look. So having the ice maker where it belongs ( in freezer) and cold water just inside the door was what we wanted. Even though the Maytag is smaller in size, we feel with out the ice maker in the door and design
of shelves, we really have not lost space. Wish the freezer did not have wire baskets. Crisper drawers could be improved. Overall super happy with our purchase!
